I had a pair - I wasn't impressed, particularly when compared with the Don Lamson shoes I had previously or the D2s (D2 is the evolution of Don's original shoe company) I've worn since.

I cannot say enough good things about D2. Sure they're expensive, but the fit is perfect and they last forever. IMO, no off-the-shelf shoe I've ever tried comes close.

Bingo.

Have someone cast them and sent the rough to Don...

The other plus is that while bathtub type shoes (solid carbon pre-shaped footbed) cant be altered or fixed, D2 can tune their uppers with insert adjustment afterward.

It's particularly effective when there are more substantial issues.
