The biggest problem Sagan would have is that he almost certainly won't have any teammates to help chase at the end should there be a small group close ahead. Any nobody is going to work to take him to the line.
His form this week suggests that his climbing is reasonable at the moment, though. And if he is up there, it should make for some exciting racing.
