Make sure the minimum diameter of that new expander fits your steerer tube. My chinese fork takes only Carbon Ti expander (and Neco) which has 21,2mm min diam. It is because the steerer tube has very thick wall.

It's possibly a little tight. The CarbonTi Expander seemse to offer the same performance and weight at a cheaper price though so might just go for that. It's the same type of skrew right? I mean it's compatible with the MCFK Ahead cap?

Yes, I think that M6 bolt is pretty much standard.

So with my road season coming to a close I wanted to get a cheap bike to just derp around on until my race bike for next season comes in. Does anyone know who sells Hong Fu in the US or do you just buy direct? The FM069's looks kind of interesting and the claimed weight is crazy light.

I weighed frame includes hanger, cable guide. It is 940g, size 54.

Its shape looks like 2013 cervelo r3, but much lighter than same size R3.

Really? Much lighter? I thought a painted R3 is around the same weight, maybe slightly more. I can definitely see a nude R3 as being the same weight, at least from the few R3 frames that I have seen weighed.

I'm considering getting an FM066SL. Does anyone who has one of these frames know how much tire clearance there is - or what the fattest tire is that will fit?

On one of my bikes, for the rear I have a 23mm wide rim (Kinlin XC279) and a Continental GP4000s 700x25 tire, and there's very little clearance below the brake-mount arch. It's so close that when it's wet out and I ride over sand, I can hear the sand that's stuck to the tire grinding against the brake.

If I build up an FM066SL, I want to make sure there's enough width and vertical clearance for wider tires and rims.

I run a 25mm Sprinter tubular in the rear on mine. Too lazy to go look at how much clearance there is right now, but I've been running it for a month or so now with zero issues while sprinting or out of the saddle climbing.

Hopefully you can find a shop that carries Cannondale SuperSix Evo. It has identical geo to the FM066.

Fm066 has amazing amounts of clearance-I've run 28mm Parigi/Roubaix clinchers on Heliums and 25m Open Pro's on A23's no issue. Just ordered a set of 25mm carbon clinchers to go with the Vitts...
