Yesterday I ordered new Chris King Hubs. The r45 one's with H Plus son rims. I went 28/32 and for my spokes I'll have WheelSmith! These wheels will be my everyday and everything wheel. I have a pair of SRAM S40's but not all that happy with them. So their be my back up. I also might order another set of wheels down the road. Is this wheelset I'm having built any good? The guy building them is awesome.

They will certainly be sturdy! They should serve you very well....there is something to be said about a really nice set of hubs.

Did you go with the black archetypes or the hard anodized? The black ones look bad fairly quickly if you do any wet riding....dry they last pretty well

I went all black. Navy hubs. I went with the Archetype rims. I live in dry weather. California so I'll be ok until I pick up another set of wheels next season.

I just built up 2 sets of wheels, Archetypes 28's to formula hubs with sapiam race, and then pacenti SL23 to white industries hubs 24/28 cx rays The pacenti's are wider, stronger, and came in at 454, 456 gms, the Archetypes came in at 468 and 471

Those wheels are sick! Both I imagine will be strong and sturdy. I also went 28/32 for a stronger and more stiff wheel-set. I can't wait to I get them done next week.

Here's both of my hubs! Looking good! Everyone I know has red or black. I haven't seen any blues in my area anywhere.
