Hillclimb as part of a two-day, 3-stage race. Interesting mix of road bikes, full TT bikes with disc and bikes with clip-on bars.

Average of 30kph with max of 45kph so pretty even between the options.

Is that a road or cross bike, can't see well with all that dirt...

What size tires, and rear tire pressure ? Special "winter" event ?

Louis :)

Felt F15 CX bike - it's winter here in New Zealand. Vittoria Cross XG Pro clinchers 700 x 32 with Michelin latex road tubes 22-23c front and rear. Tire pressure was probably about 25 PSI at a guess, I don't have a tire gauge so was a guess. Was perfect actually, not too squishy on the flats and road section

Cool video put together by a local film maker of the most recent round of our local CX series. Quite pleased I'm in it quite a bit, especially looking knackered at the 1:35 mark! The first person in the video is the main organiser, Mike Anderson, who we are greatly indebted to for putting this awesome grass roots series on the last few years.

Hi

Tried a little something different this time.

This is Remi Pelletier Roy of Garneau Quebecor at the July 23rd edition of Les Mardis Cyclistes de Lachine.

Unfortunately I could not find any pictures of my first ever win. (as a bike rider)
It was a mass start hill climb, many separately started fields for different age / gender groups. I was the masters (40+) winner.

So, no pictures, but here is a grab of the video I recorded with LIC Ego from my handlebar.
This is just 130m from the line, when we started the sprint. The finish line is where the tent is. I won by about 2 seconds. What a great feeling!
