Pro-lite 30mm deep rims on Novatec hubs with sapim spokes & aluminium nipples. Continental GrandPrix tyres & Supersonic 50g tubes



Basic spec CAAD with Tiagra bits



Removed the shimano SPDs & put some speedplay pedals on (207g)



then removed the Tiagra cranks for some dark grey Ultegra cranks (696g)



Looks better now



Changed the saddle to the Fizik Arione team (205g) because it matches the colours and & cut down KCNC seatpost (141g)





next will be Ultegra brakes

What's happened with your bars/hoods? Can you even reach the brake levers when riding in the drops?

Yeah, they've been adjusted now. Accidently had them angled stupidly after I changed the stem lol

Wheels, tyres and tubes. Maybe some Planet X CNC brakes.

are the CNC brakes much lighter than Ultegra? How do they perform brake wise? I need strong dependable brakes.

These planet X titanium & carbon skewers are 41g lighter than the Novatec ones! Amazing for £20

Fitted some planet X carbon bottle cages after seeing another thread about them on here







That's a hefty weight saving to the elite cages

Lots of bits on order at the moment! Ultegra 6700 shifters, 10 speed cassette etc...

and going tubeless with a new wheelset

The PX brakes are much lighter than the Ultegra, somewhere in the neighborhood of 140grams or so, in fact.
