^^^^^ Sounds scary, like you say it's a good job you had people with you to help.

Figure of Dionysus, an ancient Greek god, sculptured with copper leafs and fit on the rocks, near a festival area on the mountain of Psiloritis, spotted during yesterdays MTB ride.

djm, some beautiful roads in Norway and I think at least one of those often turn up on various 'Most Amazing Roads in the World' lists. Shame about the digger, hope it turns out ok. But give Spaniards some slack, I found many were quite familiar with English. Compared to Northern Continental Europe and Scandinavia it probably isn't very impressive though.

Joux Plane & Mont Blanc, jaw dropping no matter how many times I see it.

djm- glad it wasn't more serious in the end. keep a close eye on things though as effects can linger longer than you think.

jvanv8: Already feeling better and going for a short ride to see what happens today :-)
I wasn't meaning to be disrespectful of the Spanish. It is me who should be able to make myself understood in Spanish rather! But I was very happy for this to happen on a ride with caring friends, and not when I was out alone, which I am most of the time. It took a long time before I was able to tell where I was and what time was. I couldn't even answer the doctor's question of who Norway's prime minister is (which of course I really do know..).

Thanks ultyguy! Very happy aswell. Very happy my helmet shielded me from further injury. I've been at complete rest for almost a week, and it is fun to see how fast my road rash can heal when I am not training and racing. After crashing last year healing what has now healed in a week took at least two weeks.

Also; WOW. There are some beautiful photos in this thread. It is great to look at them all.

Alloted 10 mins at the computer spent.. off I go! :-)

You going to Sion for the Vin des Valais? Unfortunately, I can't go, but reckon it'll be a great day for it.
