In case some of you haven't seen this is. Posted on road.cc this morning entitled "Experiments in speed. Framebuilder Tom Donhou sees how fast he can go drafting a Ford Zephyr".

Classic British fighting spirit. I like.

Saw this earlier today elsewhere. Brilliant video.

Unfortunately motor paced bicycle speed records exceeded 100mph in the 1940's (http://www.bicyclemuseum.com/assets/Letourner.pdf) - so hopefully their next attempt is a little better

Well the idea wasn't to break a record, not initially anyway. I think his main aim was just to have some fun and build a bike using basic materials. It seemed to me that they were majorly hindered by the testing location and vehicle choice!

That chainring was awesome, but I can't figure why you'd bother with the crank arm. That plate was big enough to screw the pedals straight into :D

Because when a crank looks THIS amazing, you just can't not have it. Seriously, I'm in awe.

Thanks for sharing.
Saw the Enve wheels and x brand? tires.
It would be interesting to know up to what speed Enve or other wheel and some regular tire manufacturer would have their products tested to rate
them as "safe".

Those sloping pursuit bars look mean.

It's shown on his website with Gatorskins. http://www.donhoubicycles.com/land-speed-bike/

ENVE posted the video on their facebook so I assume all is well. They have probably published the information somewhere though.
