Good link to the Watson jump Mattias :)

I think some have tried in the years between these two jumps but the security around the tour makes it very difficult. I seem to remember even Watson himself said it wasn't possible to jump the yellow jersey group due to security. Impressive, but it could be just as dangerous and annoying as the fans running besides the riders. Looked like a rough landing in this year's gap!

Well, sucks for Cav. He looked very close to going down when his rear wheel lost grip and bounced up.

What a finish today. Basically all the 3 greatest sprinters ATM in a straightforward head to head battle. Amazing.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike

Fair play to Kittel, showed he's the fastest sprinter at the moment.

I wonder if the Giro took a little out of Cav's legs. Doesn't seem to have his usual "snap".

Are you asking about the spoke color change? That's how it comes stock.

Did he? he got the jump on both Greipel and Cav, but they both closed on him. Perfectly timed yes but had that been 10m longer we would have had a different outcome. Thats racing though

You could say that about most sprints.

Fact is, number 1 wheel over the line was Kittel. So he did it best.

Had that been 10m longer, Kittel would have started his sprint 10m later. 4 wins this TdF, and 17(?) this season. He's the fastest.

Cam, nothing has changed since the late 1990's. If you need evidence of that we can pull out a whole long list of those who have been busted. The only thing that has changed is the method in which doping takes places. Done much more carefully now, with new agents and masking agents. Don't fool yourself that things have changed significantly since then.
