looks nice. There doesn't appear to be any change in material (still 600 series carbon, per the Trek website), and the lower-end 7-series remains the same design (at least they haven't updated that portion of the website yet).

I'm assuming the speed fin underneath is verbotten by the UCI.

Yeah, there is no UCI frame envelope below the BB.

the frameset package has lost 497gm vs previous version.

claimed for aero than cervelo p5-6 at yaw 7.5

impressive add on packages available.

437g, not 497. Sorry to nitpick your typo. I'm sure it was not intentional but I don't want to see someone misinformed.

Cervelo P5-6 is still better than the Trek in terms of the aero. And that's bike only. The P5 is specifically designed to be slower bike only in order to be faster with the rider on it.

I reckon the P5-6 will stretch its advantage with the rider onboard

watch the video. trek/giant are the only companies that test with pedaling manequin in the wind tunnel.
the white paper compares against the cervelo. cervelo is faster up to yaw 0-7.5 but after that trek is faster.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying :P The P5-6 has several design concepts that make it slower in a bike only scenario as shown in the Trek white paper, especially with a high spacer stack. Also, on the non-driveside, the P5 is faster at all yaw angles. And it's BARELY slower on the driveside past 7.5 degrees.

With rider on board, the P5 is going to be faster than the SpeedConcept 2 at all yaw angles, although they are close.
