Purchased a Bottecchia SP9 Supernova Framset couple weeks ago, wanted one of these for a while so jumped at the chance when this came up cheap enough in my size

Wont be a lightweight like my BH or even my TCR, but is something a little different.
Looking at building up with sram red.

It's a really comfortable frame from a road buzz / vibration standpoint. I built up a 2013 black/neon yellow SP9 in April/May this year. I also ride a C50 and have shared three wheelsets between the two bikes for on road comparisons. From a seat of the pants feel on the same roads and same wheels/tyres, my subjective observations is that the SP9 is just about as good as the C50 for road vibration absorbsion. I expected a harsher ride than the SP9 offers.

Hmmm.......

How so? - shifting is perfect.........

Yes, 3 snapped valve stops in as many years convinced me to cap all my wheelsets. All three caused from flung road stones from passing vehicles

...your rear mech isn't even in large cog in the pic and it appears it is about to be torn of the hanger. Even in the extreme cross gear (big chainring/big cog), the cage should not be pulled so far forward. Use the small chainring/small cog method to insure max /optimal chain length.

Yikes, that is random and bizarre. Just to b sure (respectfully) you are screwing down the valve core fully into the valve stem, yes?

Happy riding!

As a frameset the SP9 has very good high frequency road vibration absortion - as I have stated before, nearly as good as my Colango C50.

Tyres and wheels play a large role in the ride of a bike and contrary to the experience of many others, I find solid spoke triathlon type wheels very comfortable, uber stiff and yet so much material in the wheels to sop up road buzz. I have ridden Nimble Fly, Eurus, Shamal, Zonda, Corima Aero +, Madfiber, custom made full carbon 50mm clinchers and trad. 36h Record hub classic box rim wheels and I have to say that my two sets of solid spokes tri wheels (Xentis and Nimble) are the plushest ride makers.

I also run tubulars on the SP9 95psi rear and 85psi front which also soften the ride up somewhat........
