Hey everyone in the middle of August I am moving from Rockford IL to Austin TX and am hoping to get hooked up with a good group to ride with out there.

I'm having a hard time finding any groups that to regular weekly rides online... Can anyone hook me up with a link or some ride info?

Thanks!

I don't think you will have any problems finding group rides in Austin. Outside of Boulder/Austin/Tucson, not sure you will find better riding/community in the USA.

For a start, check this out for rides in the Austin area: http://www.mellowjohnnys.com/news-and-events/. Has a nice long list of rides for you to pick from.

I've done the Mellow Johnny's MOTR ride several times with my wife. It is a great ride. Good speeds and varying routes (I believe they have four routes). The only problem is the start time (8:30), which may be a little late, given the Texas heat!

Before the ride, make sure you have a coffee at JP Cafe, and enjoy the sights!
