When running i can get my heart rate to 203 bpm on alot of occasions

While on the bike theres only a couple of times ive been able to get to 203 and thats on the same bit of trail.I think its to due with the sudden change in trail. One minuit its up then the next it s down and theres trees coming at you from everywhere.Even in races i struggle to get past 195.

another interesting point about heart rate when cycling (and also very well documented) is that when going up hill it´s much easier to achieve a high heart rate than when you go down hill. Up hill I can get 180 easily, but going donhill is nearly impossible... maybe because of the wind too
Happy trails !!!!!
