you just have to remember the internet inflation factor of 10%
My numbers aren't inflated.....
But they are only low because
my stem and frame aren't stiff enough to withstand my full power.

Weight: 66kg
20min 270w / 4.1
5min 317 / 4.8
1min 410 / 6.3
5sec 1020 / 15.4
5min and 1min are plucked from races. Have never done a proper test. I figure they’d be pretty close to my best though.

I think its time I retested my 5min power... changed my 3min power from 384W (6.29W/Kg) --> 430W (7.04W/Kg) the day after a race

More of a triathlete profile with about 75-77kg fight weight.
Never used power meter in races, this is training only data.

Weight: 84kgs
FTP: 236 - 2.8w/kg

5 sec: 1340 15.9w/kg
Mainly working on the last one, it's taken the biggest hit over the last 2 years. Used to be close to the magic 20w/kgs
Wait so you are the most dogmatic poster about threshold work and base training, yet have the lowest FTP and 5 minute in the entire thread? L-O-L

I don't get it. Oh wait, I must have pro level power to talk physiology and training? Ah of course. That's it. Yeah, I'm also fat and have never raced before. I'm just a weekend bunch ride warrior. Oh the humility!

Facepalm!
Not too sure where the link is between power on the ability and ability to understand exercise physiology and biomechanics.
I too have rather average power but have attained post grad qualifications in sports and exercise medicine. If you want to feel bad about your power I can post the profiles of some of the guys I coach who have stood on the podium at World Champs this year.

Its more of a joke, but I guess unless the poster has some physio background that is uncited or is perhaps a coach with a unique nom-de-plume I find it amusing. It would be like me recommending sound race tactics to others.

When Eddy Merckx tried to be a Director Sportif he was pretty average at it.
Do we have to smoke to truly appreciate it is bad for us? My wallet and lungs are kinda hoping that I can just take the advice of an appropriate expert in the area.
