Interesting thread.
Got a power meter! (p2m) Still playing around with testing but here my numbers, very sad at the 5 sec power to weight but does reflect real life.
5 sec: 1202W - 13.2 W/kg
1 min: 647W - 7.1 W/kg
5 min: 446W - 4,9 W/kg
20min test: 394W - 4.3 W/kg
Tall heavy diesel 4 life. Raced 22 races last year 4 wins all from breakaways….Should maybe get a TT bike!

5s - 1050 / 16.66
1min - 703 / 11.2
5min - 373 / 5.9
20 min - 334 / 5.3
60 min - 310 / 4.9
that one minute is pretty bananas, have you found races where you can effectively use that advantage in the finale?

5s - 1050 / 16.66 (races)
1min - 703 / 11.2 (Training)
5min - 373 / 5.9 (Training)
20 min - 334 / 5.3 (Training)
60 min - 310 / 4.9 (Training)

i dont think i've ever been able to come into the finale fresh enough to drop that specific number / terrain doesn't usually go from flat to 1 minute power climb here. I think from that book my profile is more of a 'pursuit' profile, and i believe a combination of FTP and 1 minute power get me into better position in finales.
on a different note, it's kinda interesting or weird but in training I can't hit high 5s, usually sub 1000 everytime, but in races (probably because of the speed) or motivation / adrenaline, i can go above that mark.

Don't worry he's the resident know it all that's jealous everyone else is better than him
Do you read? I commended the poster for reaching category 1, which is better than me and said that if I were them I would do exactly what got me there since there is clearly some underlying strategic talent and abilities. I admit I'm wrong all the time and since racing is strictly a for fun hobby its quite hard to be jealous of others. And technically speaking if you check USAC registration numbers by category I'm in the top ~35%, so there are ~65% worse than me!!!

1 sec (repeatable): ~1580
5 sec: 1514
15 sec: 1421
1 min: 745/9.7
5 min: 412/5.3
20 min: 357/4.6
6ft, 1.85cm.
All done at 170 lb, 77kg.
Following a ruptured spleen in early September, I spent over a month on the trainer. I worked to increase my v02 with 3-5 minute intervals and put on a few pounds. When I got back out on the road, my sprint was up by ~150w. I also put on a few pounds of padding and am reluctant to cut it. I am a top year junior (18) and primarily race crits. I get dropped if there is a hill over 10 minutes.

Not a huge update,
But managed to improve my 10min power to 385 watts at 63kg.
just need to push my 5min and sub 5 min power up.
And more recently have just had my VO2 Max tested which the results wer surprising.

https://twitter.com/Alex_WelburnOnly race MTB, (UK based) So how I get on in some more UCI events this year and some world cups only need 1 more point after the UCI changed it.
VO2 was 88 mL.Kg.min-1 However having it retest as we used the Cortex metalyzer which do read between 3-5 (ml.kg.min-1 Higher) so going to use another system to be certain.
Had a decent run as a junior, So fingers crossed I can have a decent season.

Why stress over what Vo2 max you have. Doesn't make any difference in the racing. And with power like that you should consider road (ala Aussie MTBer Chris Hamilton). Just run an open throttle in both and see what happens.

Never gave them impression I was concerned about it.
I would consider road, but I'm not sure I could find the time along side my degree. have dabbled in road racing, to be honest, I just enjoy MTB racing much more.

Just did a Wingate test on a Monark ergometer. The last 5s might be the longest seconds of my life
At 71kg, I managed to avg 11.4 w/kg over the 30s, Peak power around 16.4 w/kg.
Now I just have to go and find a 30s cx or road race
