You should have gone for the power meter! MAP very closely correlates to 4/5 minute power and VO2 max. If during testing you think you could have done 325 watts for 5 minutes, this would be close to your MAP, maybe a bit below.

I do caution ergometer power testing as for some this is below what they can produce on the road.

Here is Dr. Coggan's power profile table in relative and absolute values (165 lb, 75 kg rider). The only ambiguity is FT (functional threshold). Take that to be roughly 40K or 60 minute power. In actuality, there is not much of a drop from 40 minutes to 60 minutes.

that is one hell of a "textbook" lactate curve!

what stage of your season were they conducted in?

It starts at 100 watts and every 3mins it jumps 20watt. So it was more then 54mins long!!!! Its the standard T-Mobile test. My coach is Dr Lothar Heinrich from T-Mobile and SRM. So he does all my testing.



The last test you see was done on the 28th of the Jan 2005. If you look at the 2nd image it compares the test from my last test and the improvement rates.
