My training schedule is very much constrained by work and family, it goes roughly like this:
Mon - 2-3h endurance
Tue - 5x3min interval
Wed - 2x20min race pace
Thu - 3-4h easy endurance
Fri, Sat, Sun some riding around as time permits, or the occasional race.
Do people see any problems with the 2x20 the day after intervals in this setup? As said I'm having a hard time doing the usual long ride on the WE etc.

I sometimes do hard days Thursdays and Fridays following a 2 hour base ride Wednesday and with a 3 hour base ride on Saturday. Prefer to do the longer intervals the first day as I find recovery from them easier than from all short intense efforts but either way should be fine if you can handle it.

Heh for me it's just the other way around, I seem to be getting less out of the shorter intervals (suffering more) when not recovered very well.
