right on the money bruiser - if you are in an area where there are crosswinds then your disc will act as a sail and catch air

where rohaimie will be racing the TT is on a road which has an airfield on one side of it, so it is susceptible to wind!

I was meaning that disk will NOT be slower, ever. If there is wind, it MAY be even faster...

But I don't really care disk or not but I have one to be sure.... :D

Sure we've heard the marketing that discs are the ultimate, but consider the physics for yourself.

Try riding someone while holding a high profile wheel or disc in your hand. Turn it on an angle against the wind and feel the restistance increase.

Now ask yourself if this is resistance you want in the coming race. If you're anly dealing with headwinds or tail winds then the disc might be best, but how often does that happen?

You don't seem to get it. Have you ever thought how sail boats can go to head wind....

They tack against the wind.

We don't!

The sailboat analogy doesn't work unless you only ride in downwinds.

Did you feel the resistance a disc creates in a crosswind?
