I returned the rollers to the guy I borrowed them from a while ago now, but by the end of winter I got the hang of pedaling out of the saddle. I sympathize with your buddy who broke his arm. I was ridding in the doorway when I first borrowed the rollers; I didn’t realize they were spaced too far apart, and when I got out of the saddle and really started hammering, the extra weight on the front wheel pushed me backwards off the rollers and out of the doorway. It was the weirdest feeling, followed by a sudden stop and an ungraceful fall to the side. Of course I got back up to finish my workout, and a little while later my daughter brought me my helmet. Everyone’s a comedian, even kids.
