guys

I raced in the 90's and my position was set up using bioracer. This spreadsheet is a great starting point, although slightly different to my measure ments from 1995

However, I agree with the 10 cm stem rule which I recall helps with weight distribution?

Im doing a comeback and its interesting as Ive lost my flexability:

I've seen this excel file for about three months now, and finally decided to play around with it on my two already established fit road bikes (may not be the most efficient, "perfect comfort")

They are super close! Wow! Another thumbs up! I played around a tiny bit and hopefully this will increase my wattage!

I'm a little worried now...

I've just been fitted by my store to a 58cm bike. And they used a bit fit system...

I'm 6'1" and my measurements are pretty much the same as in that spreadsheet and it says I should be 56.5....

mmm?

58 Horizontal or 58 vertical?. I guess it´s vertical, and if you have my measures that´s the best for you.

The ss. recommends the best frame (custom) according to your body, but with std. geometry we have to play with the stem. I have considered a 10-11 cm stem for an horiz. perfect fit, according to that the best frameset horiz. is the one i recommend. Std. stems have that measure and that´s the way to do it, without a stem length it´s impossible to fit a bike horizontally.

You have short arms and torso for your inseam and you will need short stem. In this case we have another problem, saddle-handlebar drop and lower back pain, you will need more spacers or positive angle stem to fit your drop perfectly.

Hi Beatnik,

thanks for the sheet, very interesting. I have been trying to figure out what my fit should be - interesting to learn about it.

Couple of questions:
- In the sheet I downloaded the flexibility measurement doesn't seem to change anything. The field says 'number stored as text'. - is that intentional?
- I would also be interested in knowing how I would fit on triathlon bike with a 78 deg seat angle. Do you also have a fitting sheet for that?

Btw, I have a 99cm inseam and 53cm lower arm. It's quite difficult to find the right kind of frame for that...
