Today in ITT I saw the australian racers warming up in a trainer with a very big flywheel, what was wrote in the flywheel was 'Advanced training systems'. Does anyone have more info on this trainer?

They are made to replace the rear wheel when warming up. They are made to have a easily measursable power usage.

With this they can monitor the warm-up/training session without the need to have SRM cranks on all the bikes.

I can't remember who made/makes them, but I think it was/is Darrel McColluck

Nothing on the website under advanced training systems- but those are the slickest looking frames I have seen........makes Scott, Giant et al look like they are from a past era.........

and yet the BTs have been around longer than the Giants and Scotts ;) The Aussie Track squads have been using them for years now. If you want to see how "old" this design is, go loko for pics of Boardman's Corima bike. Note the similarities.

The original BT's were the Y shaped frames used till the rule change in 2000. The current shape ones have only been around since then. Boardmans bike was a Corima.
