So I am looking at this app to do rides while on my trainer. Seems like the route and videos are great, but for the life of me I can't seem to find an explanation on their site as to how the whole thing actually works. Does it control your smart trainer to match the road condition or do you have to add resistance on your own?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I will be using it with a KICKR smart trainer and my iPhone 6s if it helps.

The Kinomap App is free to download and the free version is giving you access to a set of free videos. so enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the reply. It doesn’t answer my questions though:

-how does it work?? Is it just vídeo to watch while on a trainer or does it replicate grade by using the smart trainer directly?

-Does it cost to use the other non-free videos and if so how much??

-Does it work with the kickr being controlled through the iPhone app?

Should be a FAQ for that. But if you are just freeloading on the free site then don't expect too much help. Find out for yourself.

Pretty sure it works like Rouvy, controlling resistance according to the grade.
