Fuel. What Fuel goes in your tank?

I'm using Umara Sport sports drink both for training and racing.
If it's a long race or training ride I usually try to get about 90-100gr om carbs per hour and if it's a training ride shorter than 3 hours I usually just take water. A race under 2 hours is around 60 gram per hour and under one hour is maybe some water depending on the course and weather.

Pure Sports Nutrition out of New Zealand. A little bit expensive but uses really high quality ingredients, focus on natural flavours, no additives etc. I don't think of myself with a sensitive gut but this stuff has been really gentle and easy to consume. I've been training and racing really well since starting to use it.

Depending on length of the ride, usually water in the bottle and a banana in the pocket. For races I'll use some electrolyte capsules from Ryno power and their carbo fuel in a bottle (tastes like nothing). Generally, I prefer real food but the capsules are nice in that they take up almost no jersey pocket space and are quicker to swallow down than a banana.
Gels are generally too sweet for me but I usually carry one as an emergency in case I start to bonk. They seem to hit the system pretty quickly.

I'm a pure water guy. When it gets super hot I might add electrolytes to it, but that's rare.

I keep it lower carb most of the time and then get a quick boost right before a race with a couple bananas and sugar drink. Just water and 1-2 honey stinger gels regardless of heat or race length.

Sugar, lots of sugar. Microdose jelly beans when on the trainer for a long sesh.
