It's not one sided at all as it measures both sides... By your logic is should be measuring the NDS hub forces.
Also where is it stated that Stages make the power meter in a Kickr?
Correct me if I'm wrong but the Kickr uses on board strain gauges paired with flywheel rpm and input resistance to deliver a power figure using their on board processing?

Wahoo says Stages makes it. Apples and oranges you get one power reading not two agreed?

Link to Kickr/Stages information?
You get a combined leg reading, the same as a Powertap hub, Quarq, P2M or SRM. To get "two readings" you're using Vector pedals, Powertap pedals or a Pioneer dual sided unit.

How stable is the Wahoo Kickr when doing some all-out sprints for 15 seconds.

I've never had an issue. If is set up right it doesn't really move.

I have a KICKR and a Quarq. When on the trainer, I usually use the Quarq to check pedaling balance at various threshold values.
And the KICKR has a very stable base; Sprints should be fine on it as long as the bike has been clamped down correctly.

I ride in the TT position only and more and more evidence is coming out that we use totally different muscular firing sequences with differing kinetic energies. The kicks is akin to riding everywhere on a 3% gradient.

I will be checking out some comparison video's. I'm leaning towards the Tacx Neo if it is as silent as advertised.

what about the fan though. my fan is louder than the trainer (kickr) i think. i'm in a relatively hot climate and so i guess an issue for me. but i would have thought even in the depths of a northern winter if you are indoors training you'd need a pretty serious fan no?

True. I use a fan as wide as my handlebars and it is standing just in front of the bike, at the same height that my face while riding. I would never survive the trainer rides without the fan.

My fan is louder then both the kickr and neo put together
I don't know how the kicker is cooler ? Bogus?

Wife and I ride trainers together and have 3 fans plus a thin tower speajer to play music, so during training, our Neo's could be screaming and we would not hear it.
