A light bike doesn't replace good fitness.

He did post those in another thread, can't remember which ones. If I remember correctly they were mostly done in more of a weight training environment and came to the general conclusion that if you are getting the right mix of macronutrients through the day you are probably doing okay. There certainly is a mix of various studies looking at the recovery window and the predominance of evidence is that there is a recovery window.

I don't see how a burger and fries snack could be 70% carbs, 10% protein and 10% fat.

Yes, I agree with you.

They are missing 10%

The missing 10% is Satisfaction. Actually, I think its much more than 10%. :beerchug:

I've settled on SIS Rego Rapid Recovery for my post run or ride recovery drink although I'm not totally enamoured with the grittiness to the taste that comes with it being soy based. After races though it's hard to beat a cold beer.

I'm surprised that this meme hasn't yet made an appearance in the thread! :D

I gave up on the fancy stuff and started using Ovaltine with Fairlife skim milk (ultrafiltered milk- more protein & calcium, less sugar). Works just fine.

I'm always amazed that A. humans over the age of 2 drink milk and B. athletes drink milk.

Milk is not good for your body. It's inflammatory, it's terrible for your bones, and, well, it's milk. gross.

Probably the same blog that also describes jet streams as "chem trails" and immunization - you know, like preventing Polio? - as causing autism.

Agree that we are strangely the only species that drink milk after child rearing, agree that milk is inflammatory but disagree that it's bad for your bones...calcium?
