Hello, I am interested in signing up for trainer road to keep me fit this winter. I just wanted to double check that I have all the needed equipment to train with VIRTUAL power. Maybe some of you have similar setups?
I currently have a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine (non smart model).
My road bike has a Garmin Edge 500 computer with a Garmin GSC-10 speed/cadence sensor, and a Garmin chest strap heart rate monitor.
So if I buy the Garmin USB ANT+ Dongle from amazon and plug it into my laptop ALL my equipment should communicate properly to trainer road?
Does anyone see any possible problems with my plan?
Thank you,
Jon

Yep, that sounds perfect. The Road Machine is a great trainer to use with Virtual Power. Keep in mind you don't actually need the Edge 500 head unit (or any other head unit for that matter) to use TR, we'll communicate directly between your speed sensor and the ANT+ dongle.
I'd also recommend a fan if you don't already have one

And a second fan if you only have one!
