Hi all,

My original Timex Cycletrainer 2.0 HR strap is dead. I though I could use another ANT+ strap (I have a Polar CS200 one) and the head unit would "read" it automatically. Seems not the case...:(

Or there is something I'm missing ?

Thaks for the heads up,

Louis :)

If I recall correctly, Timex doesn't adhere to the ANT+ standard, and I think the one that came with the CS200 (which was a while ago) didn't either. You're probably stuck with buying a replacement of the same brand.

This situation has certainly improved, though there are still ANT and ANT+ sensors of various kinds that don't actually adhere to the ANT+ standard.

according to DcRainmaker, any Ant+ should do. Polar must be an exception, the issue is not with your Timex headunit
