going to have the Lumber puncture (spinal tap) done and I was wondering if any once else can advice me on the time they where of the bike or where safely able to return to riding. thx
I would stick with your doctor's orders rather than asking advice on an internet forum.

Thanks, yes, I will for sure do so, but would like to hear how others did after the surgery;)
I stayed off the bike for 1 week after that procedure. It also depends on what prompted the spinal tap in the first place but for me the sp prolonged my time off the bike. Really bad headaches for a few days after .. Didn't drive for nearly a week as well.. Bumps were annoying.

thanks for the heads up, I have a swollen optic nerve and they are testing me to find to root of it. So far nothing (which is good in a way). Did the doctor said no driving for a week.
Nah... My headaches were really bad with too much motion... So I only drive to store and back or pick up kids from school kind of thing.

ok, all done, wasn't too bad of a procedure. Had my wife pick me up, even though I felt OK to drive.
slight headache now. no riding for 2-3 days and then i can get back to action, just not all out for few more days
after that .
