A light bike doesn't replace good fitness.

Thought I would give another update for people looking for help after hitting their knee.
Today it's exactly two months ago that I hit my knee. I'm completely painfree now and can ride my bike just like before. My knee cap did feel very sensitive for weeks, but now that sensitivity has gone too.
The best advice I can give is:
1)Get advice from a medical expert.
2)RICE with an emphasis on the R(est) part... Do not go for (easy) rides the first couple of days. Just lay on your couch with your leg up and ice your knee a couple of times per day. Staying off the bike for 2 weeks won't hurt you at all. Trying to push yourself and 'train thru the pain' may hurt you and push you farther back...
