Sufferfest's Revolver is 15 x 1 min on 1 min off. The video is very popular, (maybe their most popular?)

However, it seems 3-5+ min or shorter 40/20, 30/30 are most popular vo2 seasons. I rarely hear about 1 minute intervals. Can 15x1+1 serve as an alternative to these other vo2 intervals?

Yes, you just need to make sure you are at the proper intensity, as in super hard.

Should I be trying for the same target on all 15? Any rough power suggestions as % of FTP or 5 min power?

Maybe I'm over-thinking it. Should I instead just hit all 15 hard and let my power drift however it might?

go as hard as you can on each of those 15, don't mind power, heartrate,... Just go! And die a little after 6 or 7! And then die a little more! ;-)
