A book I would recommend is "The New Rules of Lifting for Abs A Myth-Busting Fitness Plan".. Even though the title talks about abs, it details a lot of core excercises

The 12-minute Foundation workout has done wonders for me. Both for maintenance and relief whenever my back starts hurting.
