-New power measurement technique, supposedly faster resistance changes
-Raised power and gradient ceilings, 2000W and 20% apparently
-New handle

Would love if they managed to iron out this kind of stuff that I'm getting tho (Kickr ANT+ > Garmin > Strava).

Hopefully they can retrofit the power measurement and faster changes to the original model with an update.

The rest of the stuff I don't really fell is a reason for me to update.

Here's to hoping for the power measurement and faster resistance changes!

well it sounds like the new unit is updatable.

If this isn't your first Wahoo rodeo, then you're probably familiar with the brand's updateable design ethos; the change to the KICKR's power measurement design brings it more in line with this attitude, and it means that the KICKR is an investment rather than just a temporary stop-gap until ANT+ and Bluetooth are replaced by the next hot thing.

now this next bit sounds like the Neo road feel (cobble-sim) but probably isn't

This gave Wahoo the freedom to measure power and synthesize road feel at the resistance unit's electromagnetic brake rather than dividing those tasks between the resistance unit and strain gauges.

Just as I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a Tracx Neo. I was also considering the CycleOps Hammer, but I'd have to A. wait, and B. I know it's silly but I want the road feel.

Seems there is some serious competition on its way from the Tacx Flux --> http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/08/tacx ... ainer.html
When I read the corrrectly the Tacx Flux is taking a lot of unique features from the Tacx Neo trainers into a new price segment +/- EUR 800,- (2/3 the price of a Wahoo Kickr of Tacx Neo)

New Kickr has been announced at Eurobike: http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/arti ... ner-48002/
