Hi

Question, last night my PC5 stopped working, I use my SRM for the past year with daily use. I do know that SRM warning people to not try changing batteries at home, I'm not warring of losing warranty- I just don't have one, it's old PC and its second hand.
Is anyone known if it's possible to change batteries without sending the PC to SRM, can I do it myself?

Please advice

SRM has a 'new' battery for PCV! I have one that I am 'testing' now. It seems to have solved the PCV battery woes. Now, it can be almost as good as the PCIV (almost).

I think it is a Lithium Ion battery of some sort. It sure lasts a lot longer than the old PCV battery, that's for sure. I am still testing it, but it seems to be almost as good as the PCIV battery.

Nice. Is this an SRM supplied battery? And if so, do you know if all the SRM service centres will now be fitting these batteries?

I've just sent off an email to SRM Oceania asking if they fit the Lithium Ion battery...

Yes. They are being supplied by SRM. I believe that all the battery replacements will be the new cells.

People have been putting lithium ion batteries in their PCVs for nearly two years now. SRM apparently caught wind of this and is now using them. The batteries are $4-5 and last ~85 hours.
