A light bike doesn't replace good fitness.

Hi guys,

I was just wondering what peoples opinion are on nutrion for a longer rider. I have been doing alot of reading regarding this issue and every article states that if a ride is longer than 1 hour then carbohydrate intake is required. The conflicting issue is the amount of intake. Some say 30g/hour others 45-50g/hour and others say 1g per kg of body weight per hour, which to me seemed excessive but after thinking about it probably not so. I am also looking for an easy to eat/drink form of carbohydrate but something without caffine as most gels and bars seem to equivilant to a cup of coffee.

Hoping someone can help shed light on what is becoming more and more confusing ot me
