Clippers with no guides. As close as you can get to shaving without the hassle.

I haven't gotten to the point of shaving yet (haven't gotten road rash too bad so it hasn't been a big deal yet) but I'll probably be shaving in the near future.

FWIW, from the legs up I'm not very hairy at all (arms, also I can barely grow a mustache/goate and I'm 25) but my legs could definitely use it.

When I was racing as a youth(Under 16) I shaved my legs and it was soo easy as I was fairly bald as it was. Now a few years later I have started doing it again and have turned to veet. Even with that I'm having to do it every 2-3 days, it's a delight lol. Haven't had the courage to wax yet, but with the rate it grows back after the Veet I'm not sure it'll be worth the pain...

It's a pain, but so much easier when I hit the deck(very often on the MTB) so that makes it worth it IMO.

I shave twice a week in the shower, doesn't take that long.

Not sure I'd go back, even if I stopped cycling..

I used to get my legs waxed - had a lady with a home salon built in her garage and got them done pretty cheaply. Supposed to not hurt that badly if you had it done under every 6 weeks as the roots are not supposed to fully reformed but it's a lie. Always hurt like hell, especially the back of the knees for me - read shock symptoms - sweating, lightheaded!

Additional downside to waxing is you have to let the hairs grow long enough for the wax to get hold so they can be pulled. So a week or two of stubble legs.

Now shave a couple of time a week in the shower and like Murphs even if I had to give up riding I don't think I could go back to hairy legs.

Talk to your wife first!!
Having not shaved since before I met my wife, getting back into riding last year, and feeling like a cyclist again, I shaved Sunday.
Of course, she has not stopped complaining or teasing since.

Was shaving before I met my wife. She still loves my smooth legs.

Two times a week in the shower is my routine too.

I guess each person's experience is different? :noidea:
Waxing hurt the first time, now I barely notice that it's happening at all.
As for stubble: the hairs come out soft and thinner compared to stubble from shaving, which has hair follicles that are thicker and hard-edged from the blade cut.
Yes, you have to wait until the next round, but for some it lasts longer than others. 6 weeks between sessions for me, and I'd rather have a period of some slight hair showing than deal with having to shave often and deal with rough stubble.

To each their own!
