Here's the re-design on the bibs. I was requested to increase the amount of black.

They're still on the Squadra template, but the Louis-Garneau template is similar.

I'm curious. What are the numbers at right now for jersey, bibs, and cap?

it's posted on the second post

A note with the black on the bibs, it'll be matching the black lycra around it, so it's not going to stand out that much.

I fixed the black contrast. It was an artifact of the way I implemented the template.

excellent. At this rate we might even be able to get the minimum for caps in.

I have updated the first post with all the updated information. Including the new LG order form.

I like the black colors much better.
Since you have changed the bibs will the jerseys also change from white to black? I think it would also look better that the black be extended up the sides and that small triangle in front and back so the flow looks good from top to bottom.

you know..that doesn't look half bad, especially with the bibs being black in that area, it might be a good idea. We'll see what others say about it though. maybe make the weight weenies font white? or stick with the white outline and black font?

I would be interested if the kit went in a darker direction but as it stands now it's a bit too garish for me. Excellent work though.

I really like the idea of maintaining coherence between the jersey and shorts.

Here is the front with white borders around the WW. Do you think would be better like that since almost all other numbers and letters are bordered?

I agree: better. I edited the photo in place (so reloading the page should bring up the outlined text version).

Looking good.

For those of you who have not put in an order yet, we have made the minimums. You have until I wake up Saturday morning: 11.14.09 at roughly 06CST (-6UTC) at which point I will take down the order forms.

A bit of a Gimp tip. To outline text which has already been convered to bitmap I do the following:
  1. Make sure layer has enough space for outline: increase size if necessary. (layer boundary size, not "scale layer")
  2. Select region of the text with the magic wand.
  3. Convert selection to path.
  4. Select white foregound.
  5. Invert selection.
  6. Open stroke path dialog.
  7. Choose appropriate line width.
  8. Select rounded corners and ends.
  9. Stroke the path.
  10. Autocrop layer.

The "invert selection" as opposed to "unselect all" results in the white outline going outside the text, rather than overlapping the text.

For text on a vector layer, I do the following:
  1. Path from text.
  2. Create new layer, transparent, full image size, which I move behind the text layer.
  3. Select the new layer.
  4. Select white foreground.
  5. Open stroke path dialog.
  6. Choose appropriate line width.
  7. Select rounded corners and ends.
  8. Stroke the path.
  9. Autocrop layer.

Then there's the option of "merge layer down" from the text layer.

Dan

Anyone have any experience with the jersey since they are Euro Cut? I am an XL in ASSOS so that should make me an XL here too right? 43 chest jacket. Any help is appreciated.

I am torn between getting large since Euro size seems to be much smaller than US sizing. I am frantically looking for Euro LG jerseys around here, thats why I haven't submitted the LG form yet.
