A nice thing about Champion is the pattern scales with the size of the jersey. Old style screening results in size-independent screens, where a design which fits on an XS looks too small on an XL. But I'm sure other suppliers offer the same feature. They also allow photos, not just line art (Graham Watson uses them). I'm not sure a weight weenies jersey would want any photos, though.
They also do caps, which might sell even better than a jersey.
To design the jersey, download a template from:
http://www.champ-sys.com/blank_no_title ... OrgID=1521
In particular, "Raglan short sleeve". Then you sketch in the design, and the company art staff generates the final design from the customer version.
I use Gimp for this sort of thing : it allows the use of "layers" which helps a lot. On Windows, I've used "paint shop pro", which has similar (even better) features.

I know for sure that I wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested
Okay. That leaves 8013 other members of this forum. If 0.5% are interested, that's 40, quite a reasonable number for a custom order.
I'd personally recommend a cycling cap, which I think would be an easy sale. I'd definitely get one of those.
