How come the rear hub is so light? Tune's claimed weight is 247 g while the actual weight is 209 g yet WW's claimed weight is 205 g

Hmm seem too have found the answer. But why is the Tune website wrong then?

Spin.......the superscharf model is essentially an upgrade to either version of the Kong rear hub (ti, or alum), the upgrade consists of a carbon axle and ceramic bearings. These upgrades reduce the weight of the standard aluminum rear hub from 225 grams down to 205 grams at a cost of about $200 extra (yeeeooowwccchhh !!), bringing the price of the rear hub up to $500. From everything I've heard.....don't even think about this upgrade on a mtb, it's not durable enough and you'll probably break the axle.

Don't get it...

Progress - have a look at the years in the listings:
back in 2000 the Kong Superscharf was claimed to weigh 247 g while the normal version was claimed at 264 g.
The '06 Superscharf version is claimed at 205 g.
