Of course you'll have to get better, you need to get some new things mounted and ridden. :D Though you better put the parts away, otherwise you'll end up trying to get on the bike before you are ready.

Best wishes Boonen

Boonen. Get well soon.

Remember recovery is the most important part of getting fit. Don't ride before you are ready. You'll come back stronger, I know you will.

Boonen,

Get well soon.

Hospitals (as I'm sure you are aware by now) are no where near as much fun as the bike.

Just had an email from boonen! He's still pretty sick but wants to thank you all for the support. He said the nurses are making him feel better though

ask him to take some pics of the nurses...

If he can squeeze a bike into the picture then maybe that'll get around the mods...

Take it easy Boonen. I wish you a speedy recovery from whatever it is you've got.

(Does anybody know what's wrong with Boonen exactly? My 22 month old has rotavirus right now and has nonstop vomiting and runs. I hope for his sake it's nothing like that.)

Hi guys, thanks a lot for all the support, you're all great people!
I have spent some time in the hospital with some problems with my intestines and stomache and later with my kidneys as well. Not much fun and the beginning was somewhat like drjones described... (btw: I hope your little one is doing allright, I always feel bad for sick children!)
Now I'm home again and can spend short amounds of time out of the bed (and do a bit of catching up here at ww's as well  ) and am slowly starting to feel a bit better every day. If everything goes all right I'll be 'up and running' again within a few weeks.
Madcow is right, I have some great new parts for my bike that are just waiting next to my bed till I can get out and mount them. It will have to wait some time, but it's great motivation to get fit again :)

Thanks again for the support everybody and LJ, you have been a true mate!

BTW: Tippster, sorry but no pictures of nurses on bikes
