Since I dont know anything about scott bikes, this is straight from their website:
The Scott Addict HMX is the Team Issue chariot; the horse that pro’s want to saddle up for every need. It’s a jolt of morning Joe, something they didn’t realize they needed so bad until they climbed aboard.

Scott has three levels of Addict, all coming out of the same molds. This is the one built with HMX, high modulus extreme, carbon-fiber. It’s effectively the middle bike, but at 790g for the frame, and 300g for the fork, it’s still lighter and stiffer than most of the carbon super-bikes you can find. And at this weight, the Scott-sponsored pro teams, Orica-Greenedge and IAM Cycling, even have to put weights in the bottom bracket to get the bike up to the UCI-mandated minimum weight. Build this bike with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 and you’ll have a sub fourteen-pound ride.

The Di2 is routed internally, with a seatpost battery. If you choose to go the route of mechanical shifting, the cables also run internally, and the bike will be even lighter.

The Addict utilizes Scott’s race geometry, which you’ll also find on the Foil. That they’re identical is great for riders switching between the two bikes, but for a single-bike owner, it’s good because the geometry is just right. The bikes put the rider in an aggressive position without calling for too much attention steering. It’s easy to slash through a tight peloton, but it doesn’t take too much attention to descend a steep mountain road.

Between the material and shaping, the bike is pretty stiff. The main frame is built as a single unit, which they call Integrated Molding Process (IMP), with a 1 1/8” to 1 ¼” tapered steerer in front and the widest BB86 bottom bracket shell you can find, the bike is rigid without pounding the rider. The frameset has also received the F01 aero treatment; the leading edges of frame tubes have been molded into aero shapes to minimize overall frame drag. It’s not as aero as their Foil, but the new Addict is more aero than the old Addict. In terms of where to make aero gains, the frame is probably the last place you’ll want to look for the edge, though every gram of drag shaved helps.

For all the stiffness built in to aid with steering and power transmission, they also designed comfort to help the rider feel good. They utilize a 27.2mm seatpost and what they call the Seattube Stay. The rear triangle was designed as a single piece; with the chainstays being strong enough not to need the seat stays to support them. But the chainstays have vertical flex and are designed to flex upward with the seatstays flexing downward, thus providing ample compliance, even with 23mm tires.
