You could try conti cross country's, they come in 1.5 width and are idea for muddy conditions.

i have a set of schwalbe tires, don't know the name, they're 1,5 ", the profile is like a moto cross tire and in deep mud this is one of the coolest and lightest mtb tire(around 400 grams). don't know if they're still available.
