a few weeks late, but I've been riding a Focus Mares for the past few weeks and really like it. Low BB (70mm BB Drop in the 52) and Short Head Tube (105mm in the 52) makes it ride a lot like a road bike, especially if you're coming from a bike like a Ridley where the same size x-fire would be a 59mm BB Drop and a 145mm head tube.
