I am seeking the collective knowledge of this forum.

My upcoming CX race describes the course as "mainly hard packed dirt, a grass infield, and some gravel".

I own Vittoria Cross XG 700X34C F.V. and unused Continental Speed King. Will either work or should I go for something else?

Cheers.

I liked my Challenge Fango's on similar conditions (but they didn't last long, in my opinion). The Speed King's also work pretty well in those conditions.

Thanks Colin. I am in my first season, and I have used my Vittoria for every race although the conditions have not always required it. I am trying to learn as much as possible as quickly as possible.

I heard the same about the Fango's, and considering the price point on those, I think I may give the Conti's a try.

Unless you just want new tires, I'd use the Conti's. They'll work great in those conditions, and it's free!

Hi all.

Just a quick update on the Fango both tubular and open version.

The pattern hasn’t change but the depth of the knobs has. The new version of the Fango has
the label Fango 33 and side all knobs have increased to 3mm. Less noticeable on the centre knob but on
on the sides can see the difference.

I love my Conti Speed Kings but they wear out too fast!
