Anyone know if this could be done? I'm thinking the XO rear Der would be a pretty bomb proof 1x10 set-up.

If it is a 10sp Sram derailleur then yes, it will work.

Yeah it works as long as it is 10spd. My friend runs a 10 speed X9 with his red shifters so he can use a 11-36 cassette.

I've run a 10-speed XO rear der with SRAM road shifters and a wider range cassette for some monster cross rides. Works super.
