Have you tried either of them? Either looks to be a great starter bike... I have a lot of friends riding the Kona and love it. I actually haven't seen a lot of people on Giant CX bikes, but that being said, I'd probably pick the Giant because it looks amazing to me.... and I'm vain like that.
