Hi

Have anyone heard of a new SuperX for 2016?

Its getting quite old and riders want Thru axles and internal cables now.

I believe Cannondale typically kicks of its 'dealer' shows/camps around mid/late June or early July.

I hope so. My downtube is quite worn from cables scratching when I pick it up for shouldering.

But I think that it will either stay there or be internal.

but even if they will, also will apply BB30A or another new "standard" of BB  which -suprisingly- will fit ONLY their new crank …

Crazy guessing, but - impossible ?

Seriously, real European cyclocross is not their target- more "gravel grinding" , so bike possibly will be disc only ( also a way to "solve" chattering C fork issue  ) , maybe internal routing (di2/ hydro ready ) , still low BB, perhaps FD for clamp to allow CX1 and keep it nice. And fit for 40-42mm tires.

I would expect more evolution than revolution.

I guess they will keep BB30. At least it seems odd if they start out with changing cx-bikes.

2015 line is already disc only for both SuperX and CAADX.

FD for clamp seems like a good idea.

I've recently seen a pic of some pro-roadie types doing some gravel riding. Taylor Phinney and Lachlan Morton are in the foreground. In the background, though, someone is riding what appears to be a SuperX variant with a cross-sized, spider-ring Hollowgram, some SRAM Hydro group and a Lefty. Colours are British Racing Green (or very near to it) with yellow decals.

I don't think they will do internal cables. Not even the F-Si, which was launched for 2015 has internal brake lines (and to be honest I'm happy it hasn't, to avoid problems when bleeding, rattling etc.).

On the other hand both synapse disc and caad disc have internal routing. (not made for mud though)

The old SuperX is not really "broken" but I suppose they need to "upgrade" the features to keep up with the competition. Having said that, I have not ridden a cross bike with through axles, so I am not sure how much better these are compared to QR axles.

I'm not sure which brand makes "true euro CX" bikes, but SuperX would need to change fair bit to become what other brands are rolling out as gravel grinders.

We have been told early release (1st week of June) for Cannondale X bikes in the UK , rumours of thru axles on Supercross but thats about it i think. As much as i love them im not expecting much change.

The crankset maybe (Red cx1).

The suspension forks are only for Tim Johnsons back problems.
