I was just noticing that for 2008 the Crosswind will not be offerend with the Python fork. I was going to get a crosswind next year to compliment my current Supercross... but this is a big step down. Especially if they are keeping the price the same. Strangly, the 08 catalog shows the bike with the Python in the picture, but specs say otherwise. Anyone have more details or confirm this?

I see what you are talking about.. if you click on the crosswind image with the flatbar (the white one) it is showing the 4ZA fork that is also on the crossbow... while the "racing" crosswind has the straight python fork.. hopefully just a misprint and refering to the flatbar model, I love my 07 crosswind!

You can have it in option.
The price is lower than the 2007 model (with zornyc fork) and you if add the price of the phyton fork you are at the same price of 2007 model.
(I'm talking about italian pricelist, but I think it will be the same at least in europe).
Probably you will also find oval r100 H/B stem and seatpost instead of ritchey logic.

ciao!

I emailed Ridley as I was curious... heres the reply:

The bike as it is assembled in the catalogue comes with a Phyton fork. In the spec there is a printing mistake.
