Dura Ace 9 Speed and SRAM X.0 Shift levers
Moderator: Moderator Team
I have an Cyclocross bike with Dura Ace 9 Speed Triple, will the SRAM X.0 shfters work with the Dura Ace Rear Deraillear and Front Deraileur? I'm Thinking of putting some straight bars on it. I use it mainly in the city and wouldn't mind a more straight up position and more accessible brakes(Avid Mechanical - I assume I could use AVID 7.0 Brake levers right?

Could I suggest posting cyclocross related posts in the "Cyclocosss / Touring" section.
Why not drop the rubber grips and get some titec foam grips!

The x.0 shifters wil not work with a DA rear mech. they will work with the DA front mech. Shimano has an actuation ratio of 2:1 and Sram uses 1:1. You can use the sram rocket or Atack shifters.
I have to agree with Cadence that this campy stuff is also very good looking! Maybe the brake lever is a bit to long

Stick with the Shimano shifters. The flat bar road components will work best in the shifting department, the rear is standard shimano but the front is a road deraillier - slightly different pull ratio than MtB.
As for the brakes you need to find a lever that will work with canti brakes. The standard flat bar levers are for V's, you might have to have a look at something like the Paul's.
