Reviving this thread because I am using the same rings as Zank on campy centaur UT cranks.

Zank,
Didn't you have a problem with the countersunk holes at the back of the TA rings. It caused the campy bolts to bottom out before they were tight. Also the campy spacer ring for the 5th hole is too thick and causes the cranks to turn off-center like. How did you manage it ?

Hi, I was reading about the problems you were having in the other thread and was just about to respond. I did not have either of the issues you mentioned. The chainrings run true and the bolts tightened up fine. I have this exact setup on both my Centaur UT and Chorus UT cranks. Are your rings marked 9/10 speed or 8 speed?

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, they are 9/10 speed.

Here is a pic of the bolt holes. The outer ring is countersunk (if thats the right word..) and the inner ring too. The bolts drop in and therefor need more threads to be tightened.

By the way, on my campy inner ring, the bolt hole is not sunk.

This is really strange. I have not had those problems and I did 20 races on mine so far this season. I don't know what to offer for advice. Sorry I couldn't help!

That's okay!
Maybe TA changed some specs on their rings, or campy changed something on their bolts perhaps (unlikely though). I compared the bolts of my chorus and centaur cranks and they were a different height. The chorus ones almost worked but just not tight enough. I sent a email to TA to ask them about it.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I hope it works out for you quickly! The markings on my rings do look a bit different than yours. Maybe they did change something...
