Hello,
I want to get a new cyclocross bike that will be as light as possible while not ruining myself... Carbon fiber and Titanium seem to be the way to go to reduce the weight of some components. CF stems, handlebars and seatposts seem pretty common and I see more and more saddles with Ti rails. I am wondering if these materials will stand the abuse of a 220 lbs rider like myself. Any experience on this matter?
Thanks!

at that weight I wouldn't go WW too much on your CX bike.

I agreem just make certain there is no weight limit on your Carbon stuff. Generally Easton, Bontrager, and a few others have excellent carbon products with no weight limits.
Superflies!
I'm in the same boat(220lbs) everything on this has survived, not very WW, but saddle SLR 145gms & ergos record carbon 10spd are light enough. Have a carbon seat pin(record) that will go on as soon as shim arrives.Eurus wheels are great used road racing & cx.

the question is how much do you want to spend. if money doesn't matter, you can build almost anything...
